New Jersey’s air quality does not improve much throughout Wednesday making it more difficult for anyone who is respiratory compromised.

The air quality remains poor in New Jersey due to smoky conditions from wildfires in Canada. The state is in an unhealthy zone.
WHAT’S NOW: Smoke and gaze dominate the weather Thursday. Unfortunately, New Jersey’s air quality does not improve much throughout the day making it more difficult for anyone who is respiratory compromised.
WHAT’S NEXT: More smoke-filled skies continue through Wednesday before some relief Thursday and a couple spotty showers Thursday night. The much bigger improvement comes on Friday with highs near 70 and better air quality. Although the pattern is still very dry, we do have pleasant temperatures.
TODAY: Mostly sunny skies with some clouds. Daytime highs in the upper-70s. Overnight lows around 55.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with daytime highs slightly cooler in the low-70s. Overnight lows around 53.
FRIDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. Daytime highs around 72. Overnight lows around 54.
WEEKEND: Mix of sun and clouds. Overall warm, with daytime highs on Saturday reaching the low-80s. Daytime highs on Sunday warmer in the upper-80s.
COMING UP: Cloudy conditions are expected for the upcoming week. Temperatures will be in the upper-70s and low-80s.
