? Residents in Newark woke up to more violence in the city Tuesday following a rash of overnight shootings.
Police say a man was shot in the chest Monday night on South 7th Street in the same area where a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed earlier in the day. In addition, three people were shot on Kearny Street Monday night, leaving one person critically injured. The two others are in stable condition.
Finally, police exchanged gunfire with an individual on 18th Avenue early Tuesday morning. No one was injured in that incident. No one has been apprehended in connection to any of the incidents. Anyone with information on any of the shootings is urged to call 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
