Police have made a new arrest in Monday's shooting of a 10-year-old boy in Newark.
Authorities initially brought Lawrence Cook, 29, in for questioning as the shooter. They now believe Terrell Jones, 23, may have been the man behind the trigger.
Police are now trying to determine if Cook played any part in the incident.
According to police, the boy had been riding his bike when he was hit by a stray bullet at the corner of Hansbury and Maple avenues.
According to police, the shots were fired after two women became embroiled in a loud argument. After the fight turned physical, Jones allegedly came out of the car firing shots.
Jones is facing multiple charges. The weapon has not yet been found.
The boy was left in critical condition after the shooting. He is now recovering at University Hospital.
