Firefighters worked to battle a fire on Brighton Avenue near Ocean Boulevard in Long Branch today.
Strong winds fueled the fire as firefighters worked to fight the flames. As of this evening, there remained concerns over hot spots could spark up again.
News 12 New Jersey was on the scene throughout the night, as firefighters continuously doused the hot spots with water.
Part of an apartment building has collapsed, leaving more than 30 people homeless. The other buildings ravaged by the flames were for retail space.
Firefighters from several departments were called in to help bring the fire under control.
