MTA postpones webinar series about congestion relief pricing
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has indefinitely postponed the public information session explaining how the long-awaited congestion pricing plan will work.
Officials say passenger and commercial vehicles will cost $15, small trucks and buses will cost $24, large trucks will cost $36, motorcycles will cost $7.50 and passengers in taxis will pay $1.25 extra for each trip to those who use the 3rd Avenue bridge to go into Manhattan below 60th Street.
The webinars are expected to explain details like how the plan will provide less traffic, cleaner air and a better transit system by getting 100,000 vehicles off the streets.
