Madison Square Garden
will be welcoming fans, at a limited capacity, back for events beginning on
Feb. 23.
MSG Entertainment
provided some insights into what to expect upon returning to the world’s most
famous arena.
Attendance
Arenas in New York are
allowed to open at 10% capacity, meaning MSG can welcome about 2,000 guests.
Tickets for Rangers and
Knicks games will be offered first to season ticket holders and suite members.
The first three Knicks
games that MSG will host will be Feb. 23 vs. Golden State, Feb. 25
vs. Sacramento, Feb. 27 vs. Indiana.
The first three Rangers
games at MSG will be Feb. 26 vs. Boston, Feb. 28
vs. Boston, March 2 vs. Buffalo.
According to MSG
Entertainment, “Season ticket members will have the opportunity to purchase one
socially distanced seating pod, consisting of two seats, for one of the first
three home games. In addition to this, we’re offering a wide range of price
points, starting at $50."
More information about
tickets for additional games will be shared once it becomes available.
MSG plans to host and recognize essential workers at
every Knicks and Rangers game.
Health and Safety:
Each guest attending
events will be required to present “confirmation from a healthcare provider of
a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the day of the game,
along with an appropriate ID matching the name on the test result.”
Guests must also pass a
health survey, which will be available on the MSG Venue App, 12 hours prior to
the game. This is to ensure a “fast and efficient entry process.”
Guests will also be
temperature-screened before entering The Garden. They must register
below 100.4 to enter.
Gameday:
All tickets for events
will be digital, so fans attending games will have to download the MSG
Venue App.
MSG will be opening
doors 90 minutes prior to the game and “using multiple entrances to help with
flow.”
Guests will be assigned
specific entrances based on their seating location which will be clearly
displayed on each digital ticket.
All guests will be
required to wear a face covering while in The Garden, except while actively
eating or drinking in their assigned seats.
All in-venue purchases,
such as food and beverage and merchandise, will be 100% cashless via
credit card purchases and mobile payment.
