SAYREVILLE, N.J. (AP) - State police say a motorcyclist has died from injuries he suffered in a crash with a car on the Garden State Parkway.

Jesus Delhaya was riding northbound near milemarker 127 in Sayreville when the crash occurred around 10:25 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the motorcycle driven by the 39-year-old Elizabeth man struck the rear of the car. The impact threw Delhaya from the motorcycle and he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

The car's driver was alone in the vehicle and reported head and neck pain following the crash. The driver's name was not disclosed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
