New Jersey Transit police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a Montclair State University student last month.
Montclair State officials say the suspect, Charles Jones, is a student at the university. He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the Broad Street Light Rail station in Newark on Sept. 25. The woman, who was also a student at the school, reported the crime to campus police two days later.
According to the university student newspaper, The Montclairion, the victim claimed the assault was videotaped. The paper reports that she also tweeted about the assault, but deleted the tweets once the investigation got underway.
Jones was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree sexual assault.
NJ Transit police would not say if there would be any future arrests
