A Monroe Township police officer and firefighter are credited with saving a driver from a flipped-over car on fire.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Officials say the driver crossed the double center line and left the roadway before striking a tree and turning over.
Another driver couldn't stop and hit the car as it lay upside in the road. The officer and firefighter were able to pull the driver from the burning car.
He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The other driver was not injured.
