Police in Monmouth County honored officers who were killed in the line of duty as part of National Police Week.
In honor of National Police week, the 2019 Police Unity Bike Tour wrapped up their ride to D.C. to remember those officers killed.
Eight members of the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office were among those participating in the bike tour.
The Sheriff’s officers were made up of five members from the Law Enforcement Division as well as three from the Corrections Division.

Officers from Bloomfield in Essex County also took part in the bike tour.
The memorial service to end the ride took place on Sunday.
A total of 371 new names are in the process of being added to National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C., including 158 names who were killed in the line of duty in 2018. 
This ride also helps raise money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Police Week continues through May 18.
