Sen. Bob Menendez would not say if he had made any decision about running for reelection as he deals with bribery charges.
“When I make that decision I will announce it,” he told reporters.
The embattled senator said that he would not “jeopardize any seat in New Jersey.”
When asked about the gold bars in his indictment, Menendez said, “I know you’d like me to try my case in the press, I’ll do it in court,” and walked away.
The Democratic senator, his wife and several others are facing federal bribery charges.
