Two men armed with a loaded gun led police and state troopers on a chase in a stolen BMW from Wyckoff after burglarizing a home in Livingston, according to police.

The chase ended in East Orange when police say Travis Andrews, 18, of East Orange, and Jaquil Buie, 18, of Newark, crashed into a patrol car near Springdale and Midland avenues. The officer involved in the crash suffered minor injuries and was treated at University Hospital.

Police say the two men tried running but were caught in a backyard nearby in the area of Springdale and Glenwood avenues. Police say they recovered a loaded handgun and arrested the two teens.

Andrews and Buie both face multiple charges, including possession of a weapon, two counts of receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.
