Travelers stressed out by the busy holiday season were able to relax just a little bit thanks to the efforts of some four-legged friends.
United Airlines had therapy dogs at Terminal C of Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday to help keep frantic travelers calm and to relieve stress. The dogs came from Creature Comfort Pet Therapy of Morristown.
Travelers say that getting to their destinations requires a lot of patience.
“It’s a very stressful endeavor traveling during the holidays,” says traveler Sara Sapadin. “Especially with a family, the lines, the waiting.”
But the Sapadin family says that it will all be worth it when they get to their destination.
“We’re meeting 23 family members down in Florida…and we’re excited to travel to see the whole family for the holidays,” says Danny Sapadin.
Friday through Sunday will be the heaviest travel days of the holiday season. AAA estimates that the number of people traveling by air this year will be the highest since 2003 – up 4% from last year.
