Retail businesses are expected to fully reopen Monday, but malls across the Garden State are set to remain shut down.
A group of mayors from towns that are home to some of the state's biggest malls is calling on Gov. Murphy to allow malls to open too.
Mayors in Elizabeth and Paramus say Jersey Gardens and Garden State Plaza have protocols in place to protect workers and customers.
They say it's not fair to let customers walk shoulder to shoulder in Target, Walmart and grocery stores -- but not malls.
Nordstrom stores will be allowed to reopen on Tuesday. Locations in the Cherry Hill Mall, the Mall at Short Hills and Melo Park Mall in Edison will open.
The Nordstrom location in Garden State Plaza in Paramus is set to open again on Thursday.
