One of the biggest names in comedy is set to perform this weekend in New Jersey. Comedian and actor Marlon Wayans will hit the stage Friday at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark for two shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m.
News 12 New Jersey’s Nick Meidanis asked the “Air” star what audiences can expect from his shows, but Wayans says he’s not entirely sure just yet. He says there is a plan – but he goes off script and he promised it will be funny. He also talked about how today’s cultural climate impacts his comedy.
"You know, Jersey is some of my favorite audiences. They're just a lot of fun and they inspire me to go further and be crazier. And sometimes I don’t know where I’m going but I guarantee you it’s gonna be funny,” Wayans said.
