A man wanted by U.S. Marshals was captured Wednesday morning in Bergen County after a police chase.
U.S. Marshals told News 12 New Jersey that 37-year-old Kevin Frye fled from agents as they tried to apprehend him in Hackensack early Wednesday morning. Authorities said Frye was wanted on conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone charges stemming from a DEA indictment. Police said Frye was considered armed and dangerous.
News 12 New Jersey captured exclusive video as officers from several law enforcement agencies and K-9 units searched an area along Route 4 in River Edge before finding Frye in a small pocket of woods.
Frye was taken into custody and is being treated for a dog bite, according to U.S. Marshals. One Hackensack police officer suffered a minor arm injury.
Authorities say Frye will remain in U.S. Marshals custody and may make an appearance in federal court in Newark before being extricated to Manhattan where the charges originated.
