Man sentenced to 90 years for fatally beating a man with a bat in 2022

A 29-year-old man was sentenced to 90 years in prison for fatally beating a man inside a Beverly City home two years ago, according to Burlington County Prosecutor.
Larry Brown was found guilty of murdering 34-year-old Cecilio Luciano, of Highland Park, on June 14, 2022 and barricade-related charges.
Police responded to Luciano’s home on Bentley Avenue around 1:15 a.m. after receiving a call from a woman who claimed Luciano was killed, prosecutors say.
Authorities say Brown barricaded himself inside the home with the woman and four children. After hourslong negotiation between state police and Brown, the woman and children were released unharmed. Brown was later arrested.
