A man was killed after being struck by an NJ Transit train Tuesday afternoon at the Plainfield station.
NJ Transit police say the incident happened just after 2 p.m. after a Raritan Valley Line train departed Newark Penn Station.
The man was hit at the Plainfield station and later died at a hospital.
Authorities have not released the man's identity. The incident remains under investigation, NJ Transit police say.
