Man gets 10 years in prison for Morristown walking trail sexual assault

A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the sexual assault of a woman on a walking trail in Morristown two years ago.

Lizandro Osorio-Mejia pleaded guilty to the assault, which occurred when he and a 17-year-old accomplice robbed the woman on the Traction Line Recreation Trail. When the victim refused to give them anything, Osorio-Mejia pushed her to the ground, threatened her with a rock and sexually assaulted her.

Both suspects fled the scene after the attack and were arrested and charged days later.
