A pedestrian was hit and killed by an NJ Transit train traveling from New York Penn Station to Trenton Tuesday night.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. None of the approximately 450 passengers on board were injured.

Service was suspended for about an hour following the accident.

The victim's identity has not been released. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
