A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing an intersection in Howell.

It happened at the intersection of Route 9 and New Friendship Road shortly after 12 a.m. Saturday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released, but he was from Freehold.

There is no word on whether the driver of the vehicle could face any charges in the case.
