A man from Philadelphia will spend decades in prison after being convicted of a murder in Atlantic City.
Prosecutors say Jamar Jones was sentenced to 55 years behind bars for the killing.
Authorities say Jones shot the victim in the head at a home on South Florida Avenue about three years ago.
Investigators say the shooting followed an argument between the two men less than an hour earlier.
Officials say Jones tried to escape police following the incident by jumping out of a third-floor window.
Despite the attempted escape, he was later taken into custody and charged.
The case has now resulted in a lengthy prison sentence as prosecutors say the shooting was a violent and deliberate act.
