Lyndhurst police officers say a man they stopped allegedly spit on them, claiming he had coronavirus.
Police pulled over Joseph Marotta Friday night after he was seen driving recklessly, according to the Daily Voice. The officer who stopped him called for backup.
When Marotta was ordered out of the car, he allegedly struggled with police, kicked and spit at them.
Marotta is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault on an officer.
