Man allegedly hit in head twice with piece of wood after dispute in Concourse Village

Police say a 52‑year‑old man was in front of 1226 Sherman Ave. at 9:10 p.m. when he got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified man.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault in Concourse Village on May 28.

Police say a 52‑year‑old man was in front of 1226 Sherman Ave. at 9:10 p.m. when he got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified man.

The man later returned with a piece of wood and struck the victim twice in the head.

The attacker then fled southbound on Sherman Avenue.

EMS took the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.
