The Fort Lee man accused of repeatedly running over and killing his estranged girlfriend with his car appeared in court today.
Charles Ann remained emotionless as prosecutors read the charges against him. His attorney, a public defender, entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
Ann is charged with murdering 25-year-old Aena Hong. Witnesses told investigators the couple had been arguing on a street near their Fort Lee apartment right before the alleged attack happened.
Ann is being held on $3 million bail. Prosecutors claim Ann is a flight risk and may have been trying to flee to his native South Korea when police arrested him at a friend's apartment in Queens, N.Y. last week.
