The investigation continues into a triple murder that took place over the weekend in Pennsylvania, right across the Delaware River from New Jersey.
Police say Andre Gordon, who spent time living in Trenton, is responsible for killing three relatives in Bucks County on Saturday. He was eventually arrested that same day in Trenton.
A court hearing for Gordon is still pending in Mercer County. Once complete, he will be extradited to Pennsylvania to face murder charges.
Police say the situation started Saturday morning when Gordon, 26, allegedly carjacked a woman in Trenton and drove across the river into Levittown where he is accused in the shooting deaths of his stepmother, teenage sister and the mother of his two children. After the shootings, authorities say Gordon drove back to Trenton to a friend’s home on Phillips Avenue. He was seen outside on the front porch by the homeowner who is a close friend of the suspect’s father.
Errol Fearon was used to seeing Gordon around his house so didn’t think much of his presence.
“I see him sitting right there," Fearon said. “He’ll sleep some of the time, he’ll sleep here some time. But I know him.”
Fearon says he left the home and shortly after, so did Gordon.
However, police thought Gordon was inside with hostages so they surrounded the house and fired tear gas canisters into the home.
Fearon was back at his house on Monday airing it out of any lingering tear gas.He and his family members have spent the last two nights at a hotel.
When asked if he knew why Gordon allegedly committed these crimes, Fearon said he had no idea.
Gordon was eventually found a few blocks away and arrested on New York Avenue. Police say Gordon was homeless but had ties to Trenton.
A motive for the shootings was not currently known.
