Time for main street, New Jersey. Our Lauren do is covering local businesses this morning in Middlesex and it's ok. She had breakfast. Now, what are we doing? Lauren? Do you see this? And Nick? Thank you glute world or I won the prize. I did the most squat. I'm in the championship belt. Cool spot you have. Thank you. What do you do here? So right here, listen, we have women and we wanna take the fear out of lifting for women. All right, a lot of women go into training thinking like, oh, I just wanna sweat and run but then I've been training them a while. They want, they have these goals to build their glutes to build their legs, but they don't realize that they have to lift heavy and I know they get scared. They get scary for a lot of women out there. But lifting heavy is the way to achieve those curves, your physique and those glutes that you're getting here. Here's a good example right here. Big heavy squat. Come on, Sandra, here we go. Drive through. Excellent, good coaching. Yes, I have to driving through. Um but the other aspect of training heavy while building your glutes. It's, it, it's extremely empowering. All right, for a lot of women out there to realize, wow, I could lift heavy and there's a sense of confidence that comes in there. So I'm looking to here in Jersey really build the confidence for all the women out there and realize, hey, lifting heavy is the way to go. You want to get sexier, you want to be ready for the summer, you also want to build confidence and just feel a lot better in life than training is the goal training is the way. But it's scary. So you got to go to someone that can help you because you know, you're starting to lift like £50 right off the bat. That is to do with the profession. Well said because honestly, if you have a proper coach, you're following a proper program. That is the best way to optimize it. So you're safe and you have, you know, the right way to go about it. Um So yes, I'm always like encouraging women out there, like find yourself a coach, good coach, a good program, lift heavy lift, strong and you're gonna feel better. It's one of those things that gets overlooked a lot. And I feel especially for women, not for men, men already know, oh, I wanna lift heavy and be strong, but for women, they don't realize, hey, if I lift, you know, heavy, I can really make things happen. It is Friday in time for main street, New Jersey. This morning news. 12, New Jersey's Lauren do is showing off local businesses in Middlesex. Yes, breakfast. And now a gym. Now she's continuing that active trend this morning. Lauren. Where are you? Now? We have a lot of effective to have kids here too. Reared, enraged, indoor golf. We have Hans here. S this is amazing. Well, thank you. We enjoy having the business and we enjoy all the customers. We get amazing. So tell us about this place. What can you do here? Well, you can play golf, you can have parties, you can do indoor, uh, indoor, uh, um, games. There's different kinds of things like ski ball and, and things like that. But I actually have 70 golf courses on the different, different machines. Um, I have 100 members that come in and out. Uh, guests come from all over the states. New York, Pennsylvania. Um, I've had one as far north as Connecticut who came. That's amazing. I mean, I can see why this is such a unique spot. You got the party set up right here. Yeah, we have birthday parties, corporate parties. Events. Occasionally we have a wedding or two. It's kind of fun. People who love golf. Look, you got the kids doing mini golf. The kids are playing mini golf on a rainy day. This is great dad mom to be golfing when the real thing kids could be doing a little pot. Yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Rainy days, uh, snow hits the ground. We're packed. Um, I get calls starting at eight o'clock in the morning. Are you open? Uh, do we have a spot? Can I get in? So, we have four booths, um, which usually lose plenty of room for everybody to come as long as they call a little early. And, um, the, the, we have leagues here for the members, they come in, they play leagues. They have a lot of fun doing that. They win prizes at the end. A lot of the local restaurants, including some of the ones you'll go to, uh, will donate, uh, uh, gift cards for that. So they have prizes. So, it's a very community thing. It's a lot of fun. Yeah. What's your favorite part about being a part of the community? Uh, I just love the, the people in the town. Golfers are fun and they're, uh, they're fun to be around. They're always having fun. This place is a fun place. It's not like all serious, you know, they're not like super, I gotta, I gotta be the best on the PGA kind of people. They're having fun. They're enjoying, they, they order food in, they order drinks and they have a lot of fun. I had a lot of fun too and I didn't even hit the screen. Right. Well, we saw you swing and that's why we wouldn't let you do it again. Well, let's show up the real, look, look at this guy that's, he hit the screen. I mean, how old is he doing it? That's amazing. Yeah, he is amazing. He, his family comes a lot and his brother, his brothers are both very good at golf. It's fun to watch. There we go. Send us home, here we go. Play in Pebble Beach. It is Main street, New Jersey on a Friday. And this morning, our Lauren do is highlighting local businesses in Middlesex more breakfast. She's at a neighborhood pub and grill and Ellery. Hey, good morning, Lauren. Good morning, good morning, Nick. Guess what first? You know the alligator that went missing in Middlesex? Well, we found it. We got the mayor here. We got everyone from Ellery. We have someone from the borough council here at Erie's Neighborhood pub and Girl John, you are the Ellery. Thanks for having us here. Oh, thank you very much for coming. It's a great pleasure to have you guys here. Amazing. We're in your suite. It took you 27 years to show up at Eller's. There you go. We're finally made. But our director Craig, by the way, comes here very often. Good. Well, he's got to say hello when he shows up to talk to my general manager, Ben and his assistant, Mindy. Um and Ellery wouldn't be possible without a great staff because that's the key to success is surround yourself with successful people and you do a lot for the community team. We, we, we do a lot with the community as you can see on the wall, we have some events where last year we did $61,000 for Special Olympics. We did over $17,000 for the State P VA uh Welfare Fund. So we're, we're involved with the community. That's what keeps us going. That's what kept us going during COVID. Everything we did up to COVID um was brought back to us when we got shut down by the wonderful state of New Jersey. Um They shut us down and what kept us going was the community, they supported us. So everything we gave in the f in the past was brought back to us in the uh during COVID and we rebuilt and we have this great outdoors now, great, great outdoor facility right now, um which we do live bands. We have a nice fire pit over in the corner. We have our mural from a local artist, uh which was done last year. We got the American flag out there because we, you know, we're very proud Americans here and uh try to work with everybody and do fundraisers and be very community oriented. You got a nice stage, put a band on stage. We have our equipment, we do a lot of off premise catering. We do fire houses. 300 people will do weddings. We do a lot of, we're very diversified. We have tables chairs. Um You never know who's gonna show up here, you know, you know, you come walking around before you know it, there's an old saying, uh, what is it? The, um, everybody knows your name. Yeah. Well, you can look. Kelsey Grammer shows up here and we do our Faith American beer. So we're very proud of that. We're, uh, one of the, one of those two bars in New Jersey that have all four of his beers on tap. 11 is Eller's and the other one is the Irish pub in Atlantic City. Can we go back inside? It is Friday and once again, time for main street, New Jersey. We're in Middlesex this morning as Lauren do is highlighting local businesses there. Yes. And Lauren's hanging out and, uh, apparently gonna be eating whether it's breakfast or lunch. We're not sure, but she's at Ellery. Hey, Lauren. Exactly. Hey, Tara. Hey, Nick, we're gonna find out that pizza is left over. By the way, we have John Ellery here, Ellery neighborhoods, pub and girl. I mean, we feel like we're in the neighborhood here. This is great. This is a great, great community of Middlesex. Uh, right now we're standing in the, our dining room where we do a lot of private parties and everything and we're gonna work our way up into the, uh, the bar area, but this originally used to be the bar, but we renovated it a few years back and flipped it and put the, uh, bar up front. So now we're, we come in, we do our private parties back here. We're dining and then we work our way into the bar area. Oh, I thought it's family friendly too. By the way, I'm gonna call you out on the cray I love that as a mom. Like if I forget it. Yeah, my management takes care of all that. Speaking of, let's give a shout to your kids. Yes. My kids, uh my son Robert was a Kentucky cheerleader. My son Matthew races and my other son, uh Ryan is uh involved in robotics and all that stuff. So they, they, I grew up, we do a lot with the community. You could see the awards here. Look at these 12. We got channel 12 going here. Come over to our little food. We got our little stuffed hot peppers, which is one of our uh hottest sellers going. Uh We got our wings. We are famously known for our wings. Uh 101.5 I think we got Best Wings. We got best Burger and best thin crust pizza. As you saw the young lady making the pizza before now we go back to our tap system. We got our faith American brew here. We have a lot of other people that work well with us and, and keep us in business. We got our four roses, our Mielo Baltra and our, our canteens are neutral. Our surf side, which is actually state side. Seltzers are the new thing coming up. Um One day when you're allowed to drink, not on TV, we'll, we'll get to it and we'll get everything going. But, uh you know, it's, it's a great little community, a great little local tavern. Uh, but we also do full dinners. We do steak, we do pasta, we do um, chicken franchise. We, we do it all. We try and we got Bobby here. Council councilman Bobby Deci. We have Mindy or uh assistant manager. So it's, I don't know where Ben is. He always hides. He never wants to be in the public, but he's the man that takes care of everything without Ben. I am nothing. Ben. Wherever you are. Package all this food up. We're taking it back to today's 12. And once again this morning, we take you back to Middlesex where our Lauren do is highlighting local businesses from Main Street, New Jersey, from a deli to a pub to a gym and now a dance school. Hey, Lauren, what's going on there? Everything is going on here. Rising star studio. Now, this is amazing what you have here. Thank you. So tell me about a word that we very proud of our words and our dancers. We've been in business for 17 years. We've been at this location in middle for three and we couldn't be happier to be part of the Middlesex community and look at all of these parents here today. We have such a great support system. Dance moms and dance dads here got to give a shot. Absolutely. And should we show off the dancers here? Absolutely. Let's do it. Let's turn that camera around Rachel. Let's show up all the dancers that we have here this morning. I mean, all levels. Yes. We offer classes for ages 2 to 18 in a variety of levels and classes. Uh ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, musical theater, Acro and Irish Step. We have classes for the dancer that wants to come once a week for exercise and fun and then for the dancer that's more serious that wants to take their on the road for our competitive team. Yeah. And registration registration opens April 1st on our website rising stars dance and j.com. And we have classes for summer and fall going on. Ok, I feel like we gotta do a dance move. Ok, we're at the power school. It's time to get strong. We have Casey here. How do we get strong? Just like you and Daniel. That's over here this morning. Yes. How you guys doing? So, I'm coach Casey Poulson strength coach here at the power school in Middlesex, New Jersey. Um I, I have athletes coming from all over New Jersey to get strong speed, strength conditioning, do a little bit of everything in here and these guys really come in, they see how much the work put in here kind of transfers over to their sport. So it's a pleasure to work with all these amazing athletes and I truly love what I do. Daniel here. He's gonna do a little bit of a sled work some sled pushing. Um, this is super good. He's a baseball player. He's continuing to grow. I've been working with Dan for three years now, so he's gonna put some weight on the sled. Look at that and who needs to do that? Yeah. Well, listen, this is great for some lane drive. It transfers over to the field for him and Dan's one of, you know, he, he's, he's a great athlete. I've been working with him for a while. He works hard all the time. So, Daniel, you look pretty sweaty. You've been working out here all morning and you've been working out with Casey for a long time now. Three years, three years. Why do you keep coming back to Casey? Oh, it's just like a family here, you know, I come here, work out, get the sweating. It's like a fun. Very fun. Should I try a sled? Absolutely. Yeah, let's do this sled here, mcan is our morning anchor is always doing a sled and I've always wanted to try. You got it. All right, Casey. So when you do this just don't put your hands up too high. Not too low right here in the middle and just go for it. You got it. Here we go. Ready me? Yeah, you go. Let's go.
