For this Friday's main street, New Jersey. We are in Dunellen. News Fell, New Jersey's Lauren de is highlighting local businesses there right now. She is at the Dunnellon Theater. Lauren. They just celebrated their 102nd anniversary. Ok. I know. And I walked in, I like, you don't look a day over three years old. This place looks amazing. Richie. We're on stage this morning. Really cool. Thanks for having us here. We have Craig, we have Trevor. So what do you want everyone at home to know about this place that we're doing live entertainment now? So, comedy and music instead of movies? And you renovated this place because you switched out some of the seats and put tables in that way you can eat and drink while you're watching the show. And where does this food from? Because you're saying the pizza is amazing. That comes from Zuko Staver next door. Perfect. And same with the drinks there too. Yeah, pretty convenient. And we also have a bar in here too. So there you go. What more do you need? So, what's coming up this weekend? Any shows that we should know about? We have Gypsy coming. Stevie Nicks tribute band on Saturday night. Very fun. And then the month of April we have comedy shows. Let's bring in Trevor. You want to tell us what's going on in the month of April. Sure. On the month of April, we kick it off with a rich boss. And then we have Bob Nelson who's a legendary comic. Um, and then with Jeff Norris, he's a friend of show. He's been on news 12 before, uh, Jeff Norris and then with Eric mcmahon, um, and Zach Lyman and that pretty much covers April. And then we go into me. Oh, wow. All right. So you're keeping busy. And so this is a family run business too, right? Your grandfather started it, your dad, you, your mom, everyone's involved kids too. Maybe, maybe one day, um, Zos Tavern started in 1968. And then my dad bought the theater in 1989 and then renovate it to the dinner theater in 99. And your mom, you want to talk about your mom? Yeah, Pam. Good morning. Pam is Pam watching. I hope so. And yeah, thanks for having us on the stage this morning. This is really cool. Do you have anything else you want to add? Just come on down, check us out and support local businesses, live music shows coming up. We have a couple of national acts nectars coming to us once again. And we also have faster pussycat who will be joining us interest tickets available online online and at the door. Very cool. All right. Well, I'm gonna go on stage and say goodbye. So, where did you know this or Lauren do? I was like, well, thank you. I was just about to say Lauren, you're on stage, you have to show us some sort of talent, hidden talent, do some sort of performance. She got away with not doing it in two years. Fantastic.

I bet they make a great rotisserie chicken dinner. They sure do. Tony and I look at this straight places. Look at this. You can see the flames are circulating. I wish you could smell it. This is my, my daughter, Kathy, my wife. Um We are very happy. Yeah, you are and you can, you, you're from Peru and you brought that culture here and now everyone can eat it. Yes. Yes. Yeah. If you coming to start to one opening and we're still, we're still in the road. Thank God, we have a 23 years in the road. Um I appreciate it. I come and support to my wife in the business. This is my first generation and we hope to still to work and you started in the restaurant business too. Yes, I started in New York and uh same to everybody. I stay step by step. Um I start with a dishwasher bus boy and manager and I own my business from a dishwasher bus boy to all of this beautiful food. I mean, this is amazing. Ok, we have to go, but we're gonna stick around because our photographer rich, his favorite food is Peruvian. So we're gonna have him play a little game and go to his favorite food. All right. She's a planet Chicken and Law and they've been in the community for 23 years making delicious chicken. Mhm Jo U ta was such a long time in the community. Carlos Flos, thanks for having us this morning. I mean, how did that make you feel when you hear that? I'm very thankful to God and all the community to support us to be in 23 years in the business since 2001. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for the support of the community. Uh Thanks God. Um I appreciate it for chats coming here. My dream is and Carlos, this was your dream and start a restaurant too. So you got, you got, you gotta keep dreaming Carlos. Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you. Amazing Rich. Get on into your favorite dish here, Catherine, their daughter explain what dishes we have this morning. Right here. We have the Lomo Salta de Carne. It's a very traditional dish. Then next to it, we have the two desserts, Tres Leches Flan. Next to this, we have Seviche Mio which, which is our raw seafood dish. Next to this one is the fried hia. So it's a variety of fried seafood dish. You have everything in there. I love the crab, the crab calamari, shrimp, fried yuca mussels, clam, everything. Ok. We gotta get to this table because this is the green. Yes, our famous green sauce sauce. All our customers always ask for the extra sauce. So we have the french fries. Our Maduros, wait, these were full but we yes, we were just everyone. This plate was full. Then we have the Pollo La Braza, which is what we're known for, for the restaurant. Our appetizer, which is the boiled potato with the creamy cheese sauce on top, which is personally my favorite. Then we have the salad fried Yuca and then we have our fried CFA Mio, which is another very popular dish from our menu. And what are, what's poured in the glasses? So we have chicha morada. So this is the juice we make in house. Everything's homemade, it's purple corn, the pieces of pineapple from the, from the cut up pineapple, clove, cinnamon. And then we dice up apples, non, non alcoholic. So we are Byob. Give everyone a shout out because your whole staff. Thank you so much this morning and plan a chicken. You got to dream bigger, right? Uh our producer director rather Craig loves this place. Lauren. I mean tell us more about it. It's got a great reputation from what we're hearing, from what we're hearing. Exactly. Looking for what we're seeing. John here. Look at this crowd this morning. I love a round of applause. You guys are regulars here. How long you been coming here? Like 50 years? 50 years. It's pretty great. You started the clap. Why the, why the clap? Cause I'm excited about Texas leader. Did I support these folks here? I've been coming here almost 20 years. 20 years, John, look at this crowd that you have, we have the best customers. They're not even here just to be on TV. They're just getting their right. They had no idea. Nobody knew. That's amazing. And you said your dad started this place? Yes. Yep. Him and partner George about 50 years ago, almost 47 years ago. They worked for the previous owner. They bought it from him and we've been in Jen. Ever since I grew up here I was peeling potatoes at the age of 10. Chopping onions. Yeah. You were joking before you taking to school? Yes. Yeah. I was in third grade, bringing chili dogs. My lunch box, the dogs that we have this morning, we got a mustard and crowd. It's classic Texas mustard onion and chili. And we do a lot of breakfast too. We're open all day. We like to say all day breakfast, lunch and wieners. Pork roll, egg and cheese right here. Pork roll. Yes, pork roll. Not Taylor ham. Pork roll. All right. Well, I know there's a big debate. There is, what was it again? Breakfast, lunch and wieners all day breakfast, lunch and wieners. Yes. There you go, guys. We're in J and this morning we're going to stick around here because we have a lot more talking to do and Lauren do. He's talking to us.

This 1/50 years, over 50 years. And can we check back in with Kaitlin because you gotta see this Caitlin. We just talked to you five minutes ago and your burger is almost done. Mom. What do you think about this? She's excited and I'm happy she's eating. She has to come here this morning for breakfast. Yes, she did. She loves it here and we love it here too. John, you've been hanging out with us all morning. I've been messing up the name Jay and G Yes. What does it stand for? So I'm John. So now it's John, but originally it was Jimmy and George. My dad is Jimmy and his partner is George Jay and G they bought it from the previous owner for him back in the seventies and we've been here ever since uh still in the family. They're both retired now, but they still pop in once in a while. What a great story. And you know what we fondly have a break in the action. Ok. So let's bring in the, the g we have fully George. Is your dad? I mean, you've had a smile nonstop since we've been here. Oh, yes, of course. Always. I'd love to work with customers and make them happy what they want. What's everyone ordering? What do they want? Um, breakfast sandwiches, bacon, egg and cheeses, pork roll, sausage, egg and cheeses, um, breakfast platters or hot dogs. Sometimes we have hot dogs early in the morning. Yeah, and cheeseburgers. And we have them here. So, what do we have John this morning? Uh, well, we have a mustard and sauerkraut. We have the Cla Classic Texas Wiener, which is mustard onion and chili. And we got a pork roll, egg and cheese. Um, one of the most popular breakfast sandwiches that we have here. I love even though it's pork and I smell pancakes in here too. A little bit of pancakes. French toast. We do omelets, breakfast platters, home fries. You know, it's bacon. People love bacon and one more time for everyone at home. What's the slogan? All day? Breakfast, lunch and wieners can't get any better than that. Love that guy. The Dunellen theater to the best rotisserie chicken hot dogs. Last stop for you, Lauren. You're making a phone call. Old timey phone call. Yeah, Tony Sama. What are you ordering for pizza? Because I'll take it. They actually still use this phone with the court. I hear the dial tone. John. Do you still have a phone like that? Of course we do. You got it. You wouldn't be an old school pizzeria without one? Yeah. So do you want to make us a pizza and tell us about this place? You've been around for close to 60 years. We've been in business since 1967. Started by my dad John. And we're just your traditional pizzeria. Uh, no, frills. Just traditional old school. We just make pizza calzones rolls and that's basically all we do. And your mom su you say everything is fresh and you come in, everything is fresh early in the morning, dough, sauce and cheese every day, every day, every day. Nicola you're here too this morning. Do you like the pizza here? Yeah, it's really good. Is a good crunch. You don't know what a dial tone sounds like though. Right. No, I know. Let's go over to Tim because we have a customer here. Tim. You're a customer. The place isn't even open yet. What are you doing here? Rome PZ is like family to me and my family. We've been coming here forever. My grandparents came here and we just, we love the support and it's the best pizza we've had. So we're very blessed to have them here in our community. How do you feel that your brother is taking over the show right now? You know, there's a lot of pride in that. We've been here a long time, you know, old school, old school mom and pop shop and uh you know, pretty, pretty simple menu and, you know, we make the best pizza around and so yeah, come on down, try a slice, try a pie. It's the best. What do people say when they walk in? You know, a lot of people will say, wow, this place has not changed uh, since I was in high school because it really if you look around it, it'll remind you of a scene out of happy days for those that remember that show you, John is our pizza ready yet?
