The annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade will be "reimagined" this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Macy's announced that the parade will still go on with changes made to ensure safety procedures are met.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says some parts of the parade will be virtual and others will be small and in person.

Macy's is expected to release more details later this fall.
