A lost cat that was found outside the Plainfield Area Humane Society has been reunited with its owner.
The cat’s owner says that it got out of the house and got lost. A person found the cat and left it on the porch of the shelter. The cat, which is named Thomas, was left out in the cold all night.
The shelter brought the cat inside and warmed it up.
The 17-year-old cat was reunited with its owner on Friday and is expected to be OK.
The Humane Society is reminding the public that if anyone finds a stray pet on the street, it is best to call the local animal control service or local police for help.
