A Farmingdale shuttle service that has whisked New Jersey residents to local airports for more than 30 years is ceasing operations.
Olympic Airporter will officially shut down June 17. The company tried raising prices by 10 percent two months ago, but the hikes weren't enough to offset a decline in customers and rising fuel costs.
Frequent traveler Joe Durring says it's a shame he won't see Olympic's familiar yellow shuttle buses at Newark Liberty Airport any longer.
"It's just terrible when people lose jobs, businesses go down," he says. "Everybody loses revenue. It's just a terrible thing."
