Police in Bay Head are warning residents about extreme beach erosion caused by the fall nor’easter. Waves at the Jersey Shore could reach 12 feet, which could damage beaches. Police are warning residents that conditions will worsen Friday.

Coastal flooding has been occurring on back-bay streets and in flood-prone areas and is expected to worsen through Saturday morning with each high-tide cycle. The borough expects Saturday to bring heavy rain and strong winds. There is a high chance of flooding and power outages heading into the weekend.
