A former Wall High School student is claiming to be the victim of hazing on the high school football team.

The former student filed a lawsuit against the Wall Township school board and the football coaching staff, claiming that the district failed to protect him from hazing and assault.

The lawsuit claims that the incident happened in October 2021 in the high school locker room before football practice when the victim was 16 years old.

It states that the victim was a member of the Wall High School varsity football team and that he was “forcibly restrained by multiple teammates who engaged in egregious and inappropriate conduct, including grabbing at Plaintiff’s genital area and attempting to take off Plaintiff’s pants.”

The teammates also tried to assault the victim with a broomstick, according to the lawsuit.

The suit also claims that the assault was recorded on video and passed around the school.
