Several New Jersey lawmakers want to make it mandatory for all New Jersey students to get a flu shot.
Some health experts are predicting that a second wave of COVID-19 will hit the Garden State right around the start of the flu season.
A bill making its way through the Legislature would make it mandatory for all students in grade school through college to get a flu vaccine. It is a move that will likely set up another battle over parents’ rights versus public health.
The legislation was introduced last week. Democratic lawmakers say that they hope to get the bill passed by October.
