Kitten rescued from Newark highway during heat, shelter seeks donations

A Bergen County pet rescue is asking for donations after saving a kitten from a busy highway in Newark during Wednesday's heat.
Volunteers from the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge rescued the kitten—now named Conan—after he was found trapped on Route 280.
In honor of the rescue, the shelter says a donor is matching every dollar donated to its medical fund, up to $5,000.
