Interview: Kenny Albert, sports broadcaster and Closter resident, looks back on 30-year career in new book

In his interview with News 12, Kenny Albert talked about being Marv Albert’s son, his most memorable moments and how he approaches his role as a play-by-play voice.

Broadcaster Kenny Albert joined News 12 New Jersey’s Nick Meidanis live in studio on Tuesday. The Emmy-nominated Albert is a Closter resident who's looking back on a 30-year career in his new book, "A Mic For All Seasons."
Albert is the only current broadcaster to call games for all the major pro sports leagues. The son of legendary sportscaster Marv Albert, he talked about being Marv's son, his most memorable moments and how he approaches his role as a play-by-play voice.
The books come out next month and Albert is set to launch it with events next week. He'll be at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades on Monday, Oct. 2. There's also a book signing set for Oct. 9 at Bookends in Ridgewood.
