Judge orders man accused of killing former girlfriend, kidnapping son to remain detained

A New Jersey man accused of killing his former girlfriend and kidnapping their child has been ordered to be detained pending the criminal case's outcome.

A New Jersey man accused of killing his former girlfriend and kidnapping their child has been ordered to be detained pending the criminal case's outcome.
Tyler Rios is charged with murder, kidnapping and violating a restraining order. He is accused of strangling his former girlfriend, 24-year-old Yasemin Uyar and kidnapping 2-year-old Sebastian Rios.
An Amber Alert went out across New Jersey after the mother and son went missing from their Rahway home.
Rios allegedly drove 700 miles to Tennessee to dispose of Uyar’s body.
He faces life in state prison if he is convicted.
