JBJ Soul Kitchen – a restaurant owned by New Jersey native and music icon Jon Bon Jovi – is marking an impressive milestone.
The restaurant served its 200,000th meal between its Red Bank and Toms River locations.
The restaurant uses a unique pay-it-forward model, where those who are unable to pay volunteer their time.
"This model has been proven time and time again for well over a decade. This restaurant, this flagship here in Red Bank, sat 33 people. Think about that, 200,000 meals served in a restaurant that sat 33 people,” Bon Jovi says.
There are additional locations at Rutgers University-Newark and New Jersey City University.
