Residents along the Jersey Shore say they are concerned that Hurricane Florence may impact the area.
Forecasters are predicting the storm to have devastating effects in some parts of the country. The Carolinas and Virginia have already declared states of emergencies.
According to the National Hurricane Center, a "rapid phase of intensification" began Sunday and there is still a chance the hurricane can make its way to New Jersey.
In Union Beach, rain, wind and a slightly rough surf had residents along the shore nervous about what might come later in the week.
The shore community was one of many that was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy six years ago.
