A Jersey Shore community that is still recovering from tornadoes is bracing for the possibility of more twisters coming to the town.
A large portion of New Jersey is under a tornado watch as remnants of Ida bear down on New Jersey.
Two tornadoes passed through Long Beach Island in late July, causing major damage to a handful of homes. One home had its roof ripped off, while siding and windows were torn off others.

Residents in Harvey Cedars say that they are on edge now with the potential of more tornadoes developing this evening.
“It certainly feels different from other summers. Typically, you’ll get a thunderstorm passing through. Go indoors and once it passes you go outside. Now it seems every time a storm comes through it feels like a catastrophic event,” says Harvey Cedars Police Chief Robert Burnaford.
Ida’s remnants are expected to produce heavy rain and flooding. A flash flood watch is also in effect for most of the state.
