11ds agoIt is a dream come true for a young dancer from Wall Township.
Dessa Tufts, 11, will be dancing in New York City Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” this year.
The Wall Intermediate School student will be the child lead of Marie – also known as Clara – when the ballet opens on Nov. 28.
Starting at Sea Girt’s East Coast Dancer Company, Tufts is now in her second year with the School of American Ballet in New York.
She says she is working hard to one day become a principal ballerina.
