A little-known secret about Liberty State Park is that it has the longest-running day camp for kids.

Camp Liberty has been around since 1974. It has been helping Jersey City children fill their summers with fun and interactive activities.

At over 50 years old, the camp is showing its age. To combat that, there was a volunteer cleanup at Camp Liberty.

Employees with BNP Paribas pulled weeds, painted and fixed picnic tables to get the camp ready.

School will be out soon and Camp Liberty will once again come alive.
