The True Grit Camp at Rutgers University in New Brunswick is welcoming 15 teens and young adults with spinal cord injuries from across the country.

The week-long program is designed to help participants prepare for adulthood. The program is now in its third year.

The campers enjoy sports and recreational activities, but they also take part in hands-on workshops focused on independent living, pursuing careers, building healthy relationships and navigating everyday life.

True Grit provides an opportunity for young people to connect with peers who share similar experiences while learning from mentors and experts who understand their journey.
