Morgan Parker, of Jersey City, got the opportunity to serve as "judge for a day" at the Roselle Municipal Court.
The 16-year-old, who dreams of one day becoming a judge, spent the day alongside Judge Carl Marshall getting an up-close look at the courtroom and the justice system she hopes to be part of in the future.
The opportunity was made possible by the Valerie Fund.
Morgan has been hospitalized more than 50 times because of sickle cell disease.
Her passion for criminal justice remains as strong as ever, and she believes that one day she'll live out her dream.
