A teenager from Old Bridge is trying to make hospital visits less stressful.
Ava Costa started a foundation called “Arturo Healing Hearts Through Music," where she plays the violin at various hospitals.
She says the music helps with patient anxiety.
Costa performed at Monmouth Medical Center last week. Before that, she played at the Rutgers Cancer Institute in New Brunswick.
Costa named her violin Arturo, hence the name of her foundation.
Costa is starting her sophomore year at Ranney School in Tinton Falls.
