A Teaneck resident’s new film dedicated to mental health awareness got its first look for viewers this past weekend.

Filmmaker Darius Hassan “Blighted Sentiments” was one of 14 short films exhibited this past weekend at New York's Changing Minds young filmmaker festival. The film depicts a young woman spiraling with negative thoughts brought on by isolation...and how she emerges from that darkness.

Scenes from the flick were done on the trails at Palisades Interstate Park in Bergen County.
