With all the talk of balloons conducting surveillance, one college student is using her balloon for some cool research in a unique place.
Princeton University grad student Susan Redmond is working on a balloon in Antarctica, which has a telescope attached to the bottom and examines light waves that date back to the origin of the universe.
Redmond is part of the team to keep the balloon aloft for weeks at a time. The research could unlock secrets to the universe.
