It’s hard enough to get teenagers to clean their bedrooms. Getting them to clean up the town is something that makes New Jersey Proud.

Mount Laurel Police Officer Derek Riker has, for the last four years, been recruiting high school students to take a day to clean up trash around town. They are all from Lenape High School.

This week was the best turnout yet. About two dozen students filled large bags with trash, filling the back of a pickup truck.

Truly Jersey Proud.
