The Morris County 4-H Rocket Club hopes to reach new heights in Huntsville, Alabama, during an award ceremony that is considered the Super Bowl of rocketry.
The five-member team made a rocket from scratch and were the only ones from New Jersey to participate in NASA's Student Launch Challenge.
They had a great time going up against some of the best young rocket makers in the nation. They even got some air time on NASA's live stream of the event.
"It's been very fun. Extremely rewarding. We're very grateful for this life changing experience," said the club's Sean McConoughey.
The team will find out how they did at the awards ceremony for the event which will be in June.
