Over a dozen people are kayaking from New Jersey to Washington D.C. to raise awareness and money for the families of fallen military members and first responders.
The group called Operation Deep Blue left Fort Mott State Park in Pennsville.

They are kayaking on the Delaware Bay and down the coast into the Chesapeake Bay to Washington D.C.
Operation Deep Blue makes this trip every year.
They figure it will be an eight-day trip.
